Islamabad: 15-year-old Arba Tanvir was awarded the prestigious Creators Award at the Youth Digital Summit 2025, held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad. Arba, a founding Youth Civic Fellow at LifeAtLahore, was recognized for her groundbreaking project ‘Lahore Cares’, a digital civic storytelling and mapping initiative.
Launched when she was just 14, Lahore Cares is a youth-led platform that documents the stories of Lahore’s often-overlooked everyday heroes, street vendors, sanitation workers, schoolteachers, and local volunteers. Through a thoughtful blend of interviews, photography, and geo-tagged impact profiles, the project amplifies the voices of unsung citizens who quietly serve their communities.
“This recognition is not just for me, but for every person whose story deserves to be heard,” said Arba Tanvir. “Lahore Cares is about seeing the invisible and turning their voices into visibility.”
Combining empathy, technology, and a deep sense of civic responsibility, Arba is part of a new generation of digital-native Pakistanis redefining community engagement. Her work under the LifeAtLahore banner reflects a growing movement of young changemakers who are using storytelling as a tool for social transformation.
The Creators Award is a flagship honor at the Youth Digital Summit, celebrating outstanding youth-led contributions in digital innovation and community impact. Arba’s achievement positions her among Pakistan’s most inspiring young leaders, shaping the future through creativity, compassion, and civic action.
