Pakistan to Showcase Tech Innovation and Global IT Leadership at London Tech Week 2025

Tanveer Ahmed:

Islamabad: Pakistan is set to make a powerful impact at London Tech Week 2025, one of Europe’s most prestigious technology events, with a strengthened presence that reflects the country’s growing stature in the global tech ecosystem.

Building on the momentum from London Tech Week 2024, where Pakistani companies secured over 240 business leads valued at $1.65 million, the country is preparing to showcase its expanding capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, blockchain, cloud computing, and software development.

Organized under the banner of Tech Destination Pakistan, this year’s participation will spotlight the country’s thriving IT sector, skilled tech workforce, and competitive outsourcing solutions, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as an emerging global IT hub.

The UK remains Pakistan’s second-largest export destination for IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS), accounting for nearly 10% of the sector’s overall exports. London Tech Week offers a strategic platform for Pakistani businesses to expand their reach, attract foreign investment, and build long-term partnerships with European and global counterparts.

Officials from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in collaboration with P@SHA and other stakeholders, confirmed that this year’s delegation will include a diverse mix of established firms, innovative startups, and public-private representatives, all set to engage with international investors, buyers, and tech leaders.

With 63% of the population under the age of 30, Pakistan boasts a tech-savvy youth demographic, complemented by its strategic location and globally competitive pricing models. These factors have contributed to Pakistan’s growing appeal as a destination for software development, BPO, and emerging technology services.

“London Tech Week is more than just an exhibition—it’s a gateway to global opportunity,” said a senior official from PSEB. “Our companies are ready to demonstrate Pakistan’s innovation, resilience, and capacity to deliver world-class digital solutions.”

Over the past few years, Pakistan’s participation in international tech expos has significantly enhanced its global visibility. The TechDestination Pakistan brand has gained recognition for its contributions to innovation and digital transformation, with London Tech Week serving as a key milestone in that journey.

With an enhanced presence in 2025, Pakistan is expected to unlock new opportunities, strengthen international collaborations, and reaffirm its commitment to becoming a leading player in the global digital economy.
