Zong introduces Hajj 2026 bundles to keep Pakistani pilgrims connected in Saudi Arabia

Press Release :

Pakistani telecom operator Zong has launched a range of customised mobile packages for pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026, aiming to ensure uninterrupted communication throughout the journey.

The company said the bundles are designed to provide seamless connectivity through international roaming, allowing users to continue using their existing Pakistani numbers while abroad. Services are activated upon arrival, enabling immediate access to mobile data, calls and messaging without the need for additional setup.

A key feature of the offering is dedicated support for WhatsApp, reflecting the app’s widespread use among travellers to stay in touch with family members. Officials said the packages prioritise high-speed access for commonly used communication platforms to meet the needs of modern pilgrims.

The bundles vary in size and price, ranging from entry-level options with limited data and calling minutes to larger packages offering higher data volumes and extended usage for a full 30-day period, which typically covers the duration of the pilgrimage.

Khurram Ishaq, head of international business at Zong, said the initiative was aimed at supporting pilgrims during a significant religious journey while ensuring they remain connected to loved ones back home.

Users can subscribe to the packages through the company’s digital platforms, including its website and mobile application, or by using standard activation codes.

The launch comes as telecom operators increasingly tailor services for international travel, particularly during peak religious seasons such as Hajj, when millions of Muslims from around the world travel to Saudi Arabia. For Pakistani operators, such offerings are also part of broader efforts to expand digital services and improve customer experience for overseas connectivity.
