JazzCash has partnered with the Punjab Social Protection Authority to distribute financial assistance under the “Maryam Ko Batain” program, aimed at supporting vulnerable households across the province.
Under the initiative, eligible individuals receive PKR 10,000 in aid. Citizens can register through a designated government helpline or mobile application, after which authorities verify each case before funds are released.
Following verification, JazzCash facilitates secure digital transfers directly to beneficiaries within the government-mandated 24-hour timeframe, ensuring prompt and transparent delivery.
Since the program’s launch, over 35,000 beneficiaries have received financial support, positively impacting an estimated 300,000 people across Punjab by helping families access timely aid.
Arif Chaudary, Head of Public Sector Partnerships at JazzCash, said: “Digital platforms are transforming how governments deliver social protection. Through our partnership with the Punjab Social Protection Authority, JazzCash is helping ensure that financial assistance reaches citizens quickly, securely, and with dignity. This is a powerful example of how digital payments infrastructure can strengthen transparency and expand access to essential support.”
The collaboration highlights the potential of digital innovation to enhance social protection delivery, reduce friction in public fund distribution, and broaden access to secure financial services for communities across Punjab.
