The Government of Sindh has unveiled plans to introduce an artificial intelligence-powered employment portal and a digital complaint resolution platform aimed at improving access to jobs and public services for persons with disabilities across the province.
The initiative, approved by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, will be developed in partnership with Sukkur Institute of Business Administration. It is designed to create a streamlined connection between job seekers with disabilities and government departments, while also ensuring transparency in recruitment processes.
Key features of the platform will include AI-powered job matching based on skills and qualifications, multilingual accessibility in Sindhi, Urdu and English, and a direct communication channel between individuals and provincial authorities. The system is also expected to support merit-based hiring across government institutions.
Officials said the job portal is scheduled to become operational by May 2026, while the digital grievance redressal system is planned for launch in July 2026.
The move aligns with the Sindh Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2018, which mandates a five percent employment quota for persons with disabilities in public sector departments. The law also calls for the establishment of support frameworks, a centralised disability database and standardised certification procedures.
According to the chief minister, the initiative represents a step toward strengthening social inclusion and expanding economic opportunities for persons with disabilities throughout Sindh.
