A Pakistan-based artificial intelligence startup, Virtuans AI, has been acquired by U.S. firm AutoAcquire AI in a seven-figure transaction, marking one of the notable international exits for a locally built AI product.
The deal was completed less than two years after Virtuans AI was founded and was confirmed by the company’s co-founders, Raheel Ahmad and Muddassar Sharif, who shared the development with technology media outlets.
Virtuans AI develops autonomous conversational AI agents designed for sales automation and customer engagement. Its platform is capable of managing lead qualification, handling customer interactions across multiple digital channels, and improving performance through reinforcement learning. Supporting more than 40 languages, the technology is already being used in industries such as real estate and hospitality.
The product was developed entirely by Pakistani engineers, reflecting the country’s growing capacity to build globally competitive AI platforms rather than simply providing outsourced services.
AutoAcquire AI, based in the United States, operates in the automotive technology space and provides AI-driven solutions to help dealerships streamline vehicle sourcing. Its platform combines vehicle discovery, price negotiation, inspections, logistics, and fraud prevention into a single system aimed at increasing efficiency in the U.S. used-car market, which is estimated to be worth nearly $1 trillion.
As part of the acquisition, both founders will take on leadership roles within AutoAcquire AI. Raheel Ahmad will serve as Head of AI Product, while Muddassar Sharif will become Head of AI Technology, where they will focus on expanding intelligent agent systems across dealership operations.
While the exact financial terms were not disclosed, the agreement enables AutoAcquire to fast-track its development of autonomous AI systems capable of making decisions and executing tasks independently within automotive workflows.
The acquisition highlights a growing shift in Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, where local companies are increasingly building proprietary technology that attracts international buyers. It also signals a broader global trend of U.S. firms acquiring specialised AI expertise to stay competitive in traditional industries.
Although no detailed integration timeline has been announced, the combined entity is expected to scale AI-driven solutions for enterprise-level operations.
