Mate 80 Series Leak Hints at eSIM-Only Option and 100W Charging

By Tanveer Ahmed:

Lahore:Rumors around Huawei’s upcoming Mate 80 lineup have continued to grow as the expected launch approaches. A recent leak suggested that the Mate 80 Pro+ could feature dual periscope cameras. Now, a new report adds another detail to the picture.

A tipster known as SmartPikachu claims the Mate 80 family may include an eSIM-only model in certain markets. The source also describes the lineup as offering the “strongest communications architecture,” though the specifics remain unclear. Huawei has not shared any official information about the series so far.

The Mate 80 phones are believed to launch later this month in China. Leaks point to the Mate 80 Pro+ carrying a 50MP main camera with LOFIC technology, supported by dual 50MP zoom lenses offering both medium and long-range focal lengths.

The lineup is also expected to use Huawei’s new Kirin chipsets and support up to 100W fast charging, continuing Huawei’s push toward high-performance hardware in its flagship series.
