New price takes HR-V e:HEV above Rs10 million as automakers adjust rates amid rising costs
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has increased the price of its HR-V e:HEV hybrid SUV by Rs1.37 million, making it one of the most expensive locally assembled hybrid vehicles currently available in the Pakistani market.
According to the company’s latest price notification, the Honda HR-V e:HEV will now cost Rs10.369 million, compared with its previous price of Rs8.999 million.
The revised price will apply to all new bookings made from July 1, 2026, as well as pending orders where customers have made partial payments, Honda said.
Price increase linked to rising industry costs
The company stated that the updated price does not include freight charges and withholding tax, meaning the final amount paid by customers may vary depending on location and applicable government taxes.
The latest increase reflects broader cost pressures affecting Pakistan’s automobile sector, including changes in taxation, production expenses, currency fluctuations and higher input costs.
Automakers operating in Pakistan have recently revised prices of several models as they adjust to changing economic conditions and government policies.
Hybrid vehicles face higher market pressure
The HR-V e:HEV is part of Honda’s strategy to expand its hybrid vehicle lineup in Pakistan as demand grows for fuel-efficient vehicles.
Hybrid SUVs have attracted interest among consumers due to rising petrol prices and increasing awareness of fuel-saving technologies. However, higher taxes and production costs have pushed prices upward, making such vehicles less affordable for many buyers.
The latest revision places the HR-V e:HEV among the higher-priced locally assembled hybrid SUVs in Pakistan.
Auto sector navigating policy changes
Pakistan’s automobile industry has been seeking a more stable policy environment to support investment, increase local manufacturing and encourage adoption of modern vehicle technologies.
The government is also working on a new automotive policy aimed at attracting investment, improving safety standards and promoting cleaner transport solutions.
Industry analysts say pricing trends in the coming months will depend on factors including taxation decisions, import policies, exchange rate stability and government incentives for electric and hybrid vehicles.
