Yango Ride integrates with ChatGPT to enable in-chat trip planning

Yango Group has launched a new integration for its ride-hailing service Yango Ride within ChatGPT, allowing users to plan journeys and check fares directly inside conversations.

The feature is being rolled out across more than 25 countries where Yango operates, including markets in the Middle East, South Asia, Africa and Latin America. It enables users to view real-time pricing for routes, compare travel times and access estimated arrival details without leaving the chat interface.

According to the company, the integration also helps users identify optimal pick-up locations to reduce waiting times. Once a journey is selected, users are redirected to the Yango app or its web platform to complete the booking securely.

The move is aimed at simplifying travel planning for regular commuters, tourists and business users by reducing the need to switch between multiple applications. Industry analysts say such integrations reflect a broader shift towards embedding services within AI-driven platforms to create more seamless digital experiences.

The feature is available on both web and mobile versions of ChatGPT, with support for Android and iOS devices. It uses live traffic data and routing technology to provide updated journey estimates based on changing road conditions.

Yango Group said it plans to expand the integration further by adding services beyond ride-hailing, including deliveries, public transport options and food ordering, as it looks to build a broader ecosystem within conversational platforms.
