The E-Sports Championship emerged as one of the most vibrant attractions of the Indus AI Summit, held at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad, highlighting the rapid growth of esports and digital entertainment in the country.

The championship hall remained packed throughout the event as young gamers from across Pakistan competed in multiple popular titles, showcasing high-level skills, teamwork and strategic gameplay. The competition attracted students, tech enthusiasts, industry professionals and policymakers, reflecting the increasing recognition of esports as a serious component of Pakistan’s digital economy.

Organisers said the event aimed to promote esports not just as entertainment, but as a career pathway linked with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, game development and virtual reality. Several local gaming communities and professional teams participated, while spectators enjoyed live matches, commentary and interactive gaming zones.

Speaking at the venue, participants said platforms like Indus AI Summit provide much-needed exposure to Pakistan’s gaming talent. Many young players expressed hope that structured tournaments, sponsorships and institutional support would help esports grow into a sustainable industry.

Industry experts attending the summit noted that the global esports market is now worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and Pakistan, with its large youth population and rising internet penetration, has strong potential to become a regional gaming hub.

Alongside the championship, technology companies and startups also showcased AI-powered gaming tools, game design software and career opportunities in animation and digital media, linking competitive gaming with broader innovation in the tech sector.

The E-Sports Championship added a dynamic and youth-driven dimension to the Indus AI Summit, reinforcing the message that Pakistan’s digital future is being shaped not only in boardrooms and policy sessions, but also on gaming screens and virtual arenas.
