Pakistan took center stage at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024, one of the world’s leading travel and tourism exhibitions, held at ExCeL London. The country’s impressive presence drew attention from global travel professionals, tour operators, influencers, and international media.
The Pakistan Pavilion was officially inaugurated by Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, alongside Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture and Tourism, Government of Sindh. The launch highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to reviving and promoting its tourism industry on a global scale.

The pavilion, jointly organized by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), provincial tourism departments, and the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department, showcased the rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and diverse travel experiences Pakistan offers—from the snow-capped peaks of the north to historical ruins, deserts, beaches, and bustling cities.
Promotional materials, cultural displays, and high-definition video presentations attracted hundreds of travel experts and buyers, eager to explore new opportunities and partnerships. Visitors to the pavilion praised Pakistan’s natural beauty and hospitality, with many expressing interest in including it in their future travel packages.
During interactions with travel professionals and stakeholders, Pakistan’s representatives emphasized improved infrastructure, security, and hospitality services, all aimed at facilitating a seamless and memorable experience for international tourists. They also assured ongoing support from the High Commission and government bodies to encourage collaboration and investment in the tourism sector.
Speaking at the pavilion, Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated, “Pakistan is home to some of the world’s most stunning landscapes and ancient civilizations. Events like WTM provide the perfect platform to tell our story to the world and invite them to experience the real Pakistan.”
World Travel Market 2024, running from November 6 to 8, welcomed thousands of tourism professionals from over 180 countries, making it a prime opportunity for Pakistan to reposition itself as a safe, diverse, and exciting travel destination.
Pakistan’s participation at WTM 2024 reaffirmed its vision of expanding global outreach, increasing tourist inflow, and enhancing its soft image through cultural and economic diplomacy.
